My Paradyes Experience (Semi permanent hair color: Crinkle Violet)

I wanted to color my hair for a long time now, but was afraid of damaging my hair. When I discovered Paradyes on Shark Tank, I decided to take a leap of faith & ordered their All in one hair kit in color Crinkle Violet.

Product Link : Cost for All in one kit is around INR 1,400 (I got a free gift as it was my first order)

Step 1 : Bleaching

Bleach pack contains – Blonder powder + Developer + Pair of gloves + dye brush

  1. Apply Vaseline around your hairline, face & neck (to protect areas where your skin might come in contact with bleach)
  2. Wear protective gloves
  3. Mix blonder Powder and Developer in 1:2 ratio (don’t use metal bowl)
  4. Section your hair & apply on each strand one by one using dye brush
  5. Cover each section with foil (Helps retain heat which processes bleach faster)
  6. Keep the bleach for 30 – 60 mins
  7. Rinse your hair with shampoo & let them dry

Note: My Black hair (virgin hair) turned into orangish blonde after keeping the bleach for 45 mins.

Note: Don’t bleach one side of the partition first & then the other. Boh sections will not get bleached equally as the first partition will have the bleach applied for longer.

Note: The Paradyes kit comes with a Creme developer Vol 30 % which contains 9% hydrogen peroxide and provides a lift up to four levels.

Step 2 : Hair Color

  1. Apply the color using the same brush. You can use your fingers to apply the color properly if required. Make sure to spread out the strands & color the stands in between.
  2. Keep the color on for 30 – 60 mins
  3. Rinse your hair with cold water & apply conditioner

My Experience:

Attempt 1 – I kept the bleach for 45 mins. My hair turned orangish blonde. I kept the color for 45 mins. They did not get any visible color. I was greatly disappointed. Only slight brownish tint was visible in sunlight.

Attempt 2 – After 1 week I tried again. This time I kept the bleach for 1 hour 15 mins. I also kept the hair color for 1 hour. This time my hair did get a light purple tint. Maybe since I had already bleached earlier they could get some color.

Overall the bleach doesn’t seem to have damaged my hair, bleached hair strands don’t feel very rough or damaged. The color effect on my hair is is too light maybe because it is difficult to get cool colors (blues & violets) on virgin black hair. One can expect better results for warm tones like reds & browns which don’t neutralize the orangish bleached hair. If you want the pop violet/ blue color better to get it done at a salon.
